Daytona State College and the University of Central Florida have an articulated 2+2 partnership where students earn an A.S. degree in Photographic Technology at DSC and then move into their upper division courses at UCF to complete the B.S. in Photography degree and, the program courses are all on the same campus. In this unique partnership students study photography in a world-class facility on the Daytona Beach campus and emerge with a bachelor’s degree.
The DSC & UCF photography departments are located on the Daytona State College campus, in Daytona Beach where we share a two story, fifty-six thousand square foot building with state of the art Mac labs, studios, darkrooms, and classroom facilities. In addition, the prestigious Southeast Museum of Photography is also here on campus, http://www.smponline.org/. The two schools and the museum are known as the Southeast Center for Photographic Studies. At the present there are four full-time DSC and three full-time UCF photography faculties and several adjunct faculties between the two colleges.
Without going into a great bit of detail here, I invite you to view the web site for the B.S. in Photography degree program at http://svad.cah.ucf.edu/bsphotography/. There is good bit of information about our programs there and I ask that you specifically notice the Program Overview > About page and the Students > Student Work pages.
